DataHub Use Case
Process engineers working at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in the Middle East needed a way to manage their chemical production process for drug synthesis. The equipment was connected to PLCs for low-level control, but management wanted the most recent data to be sent to the company MES system, so that staff team members and management could access it quickly.
The solution was to connect the PLCs to an OPC server, and then use a DataHub instance to feed the data to the MES database. Now everyone can view the status of the plant remotely and those with the right login permissions can send control commands back to the production systems.
