Historian Connections
Historians excel at capturing real-time industrial process changes at massive transaction levels. A historian is a temporal database, stored in a flat-file which provides time-based querying and trend analysis capabilities with minimal resource consumption. This often makes it the superior option for data logging over a relational database, which may offer familiarity but struggle with high-frequency, time-sensitive data capture and processing.
Store and retrieve your data in a compact, easily accessible format. Analyze or display it using any of the historian’s analytical, reporting, or graphing tools, as well as DataHub WebView and OPC UA HDA clients.
- Connect and store data in historians from any of these providers: InfluxData, Amazon, AVEVA, OSIsoft, RESTful systems, OPC Classic HDA Client, Azure Event Hubs, Apache Kafka, ODBC Historian
- Store the data when a connection goes down, and forward it when it is reestablished
- Connect segmented OT and IT networks via DMZ (when combined with the Tunnel/Mirror feature).
