Cogent DataHub™ Use Case
A European alternative energy company has been integrating data from their solar arrays and collecting histories of their data sets for several years using Cogent DataHub software. They started by bridging the OPC DA servers for different arrays together to share their data. Later, when they introduced OPC UA servers, they added the DataHub OPC UA feature to bridge that data as well. Realizing the value of their data for planning purposes, they started using the DataHub Historian to collect it. And to keep staff and management informed with real-time updates, they incorporated the Email/SMS option.
As the system grew and their need for in-depth understanding of their systems expanded, they began sending the data to a cloud system for more sophisticated analytics and AI. Using the DataHub IoT Gateway, they were able to seamlessly convert their OPC DA and UA data to MQTT, and send it securely to their cloud service. At each step, as they developed their system, they found DataHub technology was able to meet their needs.
